Sushi Chef (sushi saikou omakase)

Duties:
- Prepare a variety of sushi dishes according to recipes and customer preferences
- Ensure the freshness and quality of ingredients used in sushi preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the sushi preparation area
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for ingredients as needed
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food service
- Adhere to food safety standards and regulations at all times
- Stay updated on current food trends and incorporate new techniques into sushi preparation
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in a fine dining or catering environment
- Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine and sushi preparation techniques
- Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Excellent knife skills and attention to detail
- Certification from a culinary school or relevant training program is a plus
