Summary/Objective
The machine operator position is responsible for operating push button core machines in order to produce foundry cores. This position requires a detail oriented individual as they are not only responsible for producing the products but must also inspect, clean, and pack the final product.
Essential Functions
Employees must be able to perform the following:
- Read and comply with all work orders and job card instructions.
- Track production/scrap and accurately complete payroll records and related paperwork.
- Operate push-button core machines.
- Eject products from the machine, clean the product according to specifications and repair/correct any product defects.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot machine malfunctions during production runs to minimize downtime.
- Pack finished products in preparation for shipment to the customer.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition.
- Must be familiar with the basic machine functions in order to perform the tasks stated above.
- Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and constructive feedback.
- Comply with company and OSHA safety and health rules.
