What We Need
As a Licensed Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our doctors & team, maintaining efficient clinical operations, and helping create an exceptional patient experience. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, thrives in a fast-paced team environment, and is committed to delivering outstanding patient care.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and ensure that the operatories for surgeries, consultations, and other appointments are set up prior to patient arrivals.
- Assist the doctor during oral surgery procedures.
- Provide exceptional patient care before, during, and after treatment.
- Conduct patient follow-up communications and support.
- Foster a warm, welcoming environment for our patients and uphold our commitment to excellent customer service.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and all applicable regulations and standards.
- Maintain proper sterilization protocols and ensure a continuous flow of sterile instruments throughout the day.
- Work efficiently and timely in a fast-paced surgical environment.
- Assist with maintaining an organized and clean clinical workspace.
- Lift and move equipment and supplies as needed (up to 50 lbs.).
What You'll Need
- Dental Assistant license (required).
- CPR/BLS certification (required).
- Sedation permit/license (preferred).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with patients, team members, and healthcare professionals.
- Proficiency with practice management software and electronic health record systems.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and healthcare compliance standards.
- Strong computer proficiency and efficency, Microsoft Workspace and Google Workspace.
- Fast and accurate typing skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong multitasking and organizational abilities.
- Confidence, a positive attitude, and willingness to take initiative is important!
- Must be a team-player with a strong work ethic.
- Eagerness to learn and keep up with new protocols, technologies, and standards.
Schedule Expectations
Applicants must be comfortable with:
- Arriving by 6:50 AM
- Working past 4:30 PM Monday through Thursday, as needed.
- Working until 3:30/4:00 PM on Fridays.
