We’re currently seeking a dependable and skilled Apartment Service / Maintenance Technician to join the team at one of our multifamily apartment communities, The '68. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving problems, and is committed to delivering excellent service to residents.
As Service Technician, you’ll handle daily maintenance tasks and repairs, including work orders and make readies across the community. From resident service requests to preventive maintenance and unit turns, you’ll help ensure the property is safe, well-maintained, and welcoming.
What You’ll Do:
- Respond to resident service requests with professionalism and urgency
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs in all major trades, including:
- Electrical: wiring, fuses, fixtures, sockets, and HVAC systems
- Plumbing: water heaters, drain lines, broken pipes, faucets, washers, and gaskets
- Carpentry: kitchen cabinets, doors/locks, window screens, drywall, and plaster
- Mechanical: appliance diagnostics/repair and use of power tools
- Prepare vacant units for move-in, including repairs and quality control of turns
- Assist with preventive maintenance and routine property inspections
- Maintain cleanliness and curb appeal of common areas and grounds
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, OSHA standards, and company policies
- Participate in the on-call rotation to handle after-hours emergencies
What You’ll Bring:
- Minimum 1-2 years of multifamily apartment maintenance/service experience (or similar, equivalent trade experience) required (3-5 years preferred)
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair required
- HVAC/EPA certification required
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
- Valid identification/work authorization and reliable transportation required
