Job Summary
We are looking for a traveling oral surgery assistant who will take care of our patients with the highest level of care. You'll assist with a variety of oral surgery procedures including extractions, reconstruction, implant placement, pathology, sedations, etc. Reliable transportation and schedule flexibility is a must.
Responsibilities
- Travel to multiple dental offices throughout Orange County, CA
- Coordinate schedules and procedures with various dental offices and dentists
- Assist oral surgeon during a variety of oral surgery procedures, including extractions, implant placements, and reconstructive surgeries
- Prepare treatment rooms with sterile instruments and dental equipment, ensuring aseptic techniques are strictly followed
- Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort before, during, and after procedures to ensure optimal care
- Process dental instruments according to infection prevention management standards and sterilization procedures
- Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and maintaining clinical confidentiality policies throughout treatment
Qualifications
- Reliable transportation and schedule flexibility a must
- Proven experience in dental assisting within a clinical setting, with specific knowledge of oral surgery procedures preferred
- Familiarity with infection control practices including aseptic technique and dental sterilization procedures
- Excellent communication and organization skills to coordinate with patients, team members, and healthcare providers effectively
- Certification in dental assisting or related healthcare field not required, but preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies essential for maintaining patient privacy at all times
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
