We are seeking a skilled Solar and Battery Electrical Installer to join our team and play a key role in the installation of solar energy systems. As a Solar & Battery Electrical Installer, you'll take charge of all aspects of solar and battery installation, ensuring the successful implementation of all responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Installation and quality control of rooftop & groundmount solar installations working off of plan designs
- Work on residential, and commercial systems
- Layout and assembly of solar modules / array and mounting hardware
- Mechanical/structural mounting of racking, modules, and electrical equipment
- Electrical wiring of solar & battery system (AC and DC)
- Document completion of completed solar & battery installation
- Review system and interconnection design for adherence to approved construction drawings
- Help to ensure all necessary electrical materials and tools arrive to the job site
- Assist with completion of installation reports and commissioning reports, as needed
- Perform system commissioning and function checks
- Troubleshoot and perform maintenance work on solar & battery installations
- Some projects will require overnight stays due to the location (outside San Francisco Bay Area)
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of solar installation (PV) experience
- Rooftop and ground mount solar installations experience is requirement
- Battery systems installations experience is requirement
- Knowledge and hands-on experience of solar carports installation is an absolute plus
- Understanding/experience with electrical wiring of AC and DC systems strongly preferred
- Team player with effective communication skills
- Proficiency with Email and other computer programs preferred
- Experience with the safe use of hand-held and power tools
- Experience working with all types of building materials – various roof types – stucco, wood, concrete, etc. strongly preferred
- Must be able to climb ladders and stairs and be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks
- Must have a valid state driver's license, and a clean driving record
Schedule:
- 8 or 10 hour shift, depending on jobs criteria
Work Location:
- Peninsula, Marin County, Sonoma County, Napa County, and some locations outside San Francisco Bay Area
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
