We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Research / Skip Trace Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for locating and verifying contact information for persons with unclaimed funds using advanced research techniques and industry-leading tools. Your efforts will directly support our recovery processes, ensuring timely resolution of fund recovery while maintaining compliance with all relevant financial regulations. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough research using various databases, online resources, and public records to locate individuals or businesses associated with delinquent accounts
- Verify and update account information accurately within our software systems
- Communicate professionally with clients and potential clients via phone, email, or written correspondence to gather or confirm account details
- Analyze account data to identify patterns, discrepancies, or potential issues requiring further investigation
- Apply knowledge of consumer protection laws and financial regulations to ensure all skip tracing activities adhere to legal standards
- Collaborate with collections teams to develop strategies for account recovery based on research findings
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client and account information at all times
Skills
- Proven experience in research and/or skip tracing
- Strong phone etiquette and customer service skills for effective client communication
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of loan modification and foreclosure process is a plus
- Familiarity with customer support software, system concepts, and industry regulations governing compliance
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining accuracy in data entry and analysis
- Experience with telemarketing or phone communication strategies within a professional setting
- Understanding of consumer protection laws and regulatory compliance requirements
