We are seeking a dependable and safety-driven Pipeline Operator.
Position Summary
The Pipeline Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation, monitoring, and maintenance of pipeline systems to ensure the continuous and reliable delivery of oil, gas, and other products. This role is well-suited for a self-directed professional who takes ownership of their assets, works comfortably in the field, and responds decisively when conditions change.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor pipeline systems using SCADA, adjusting control settings and valves to regulate product flow and pressure.
- Conduct routine inspections of pipelines, pump stations, and associated equipment.
- Identify and respond to operational anomalies, leaks, or equipment malfunctions.
- Drive to well sites, pump stations, and other company locations across the operating area.
- Respond to pipeline emergencies, including leaks, ruptures, and spills.
- Participate in incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams on major repairs and overhauls.
- Assist in the development and implementation of operational procedures.
- Maintain accurate operating logs, inspection records, and regulatory documentation.
- Complete and maintain Operator Qualification (OQ) requirements for assigned covered tasks.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record, verified annually.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Operator Qualification (OQ) certifications for assigned covered tasks.
- Ability to read and follow operating procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Strong safety orientation, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently in remote locations.
- Willingness to work more than 40 hours in a given work week, including nights, weekends, and/or holidays, and to participate in on-call rotation as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in pipeline, midstream, production, or related oil and gas operations.
- Working knowledge of SCADA systems, valves, meters, and pressure control equipment.
- Familiarity with PHMSA regulatory requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs.
Pay: From $35.00 per hour
