Job Summary
The Dishwasher/Utility Person is responsible for ensuring that all wares and equipment used by the front and back of the house are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position also assists the Culinary Team with food preparation, cleaning, stocking, and other duties as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Wash all wares, including pots, pans, flatware, and glasses, by hand or using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Properly place and store clean equipment, dishes, and utensils in their assigned storage areas.
- Stock serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and other assigned areas with necessary dishes and utensils.
- Move dishwashing supplies and equipment from storage areas to the work area as needed.
- Assist with cleaning and preparing various foods for cooking and/or serving, as directed.
- Maintain work areas in a safe, clean, and orderly condition while following all company, local, and state health, safety, and sanitation requirements.
- Maintain trash cans throughout the shift and remove full trash cans and boxes at the end of each shift.
- Assist with food preparation and other duties as directed by the Executive Chef and/or Sous Chef.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Ability to remain alert and focused in a noisy, fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented and thorough.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Education & Experience
- Previous restaurant or food-service experience preferred, but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of walking and standing.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and place up to 25 pounds at a time.
- Must frequently immerse hands in water.
- Must be able to work in a hot and damp environment.
