EXPERIENCED CNC MILL MACHINIST- 3 and 5 AXIS MILLS - DAY SHIFT

POSITION SNAPSHOT
We're growing, and we're seeking a skilled, experienced CNC Mill Machinist to join our team. This important role will be responsible to setup and prove out primarily new programs on 3 and 5 axis mills, and provide troubleshooting and process improvement feedback to our Programmers. Communication and interaction with programming is a critical function for this position. Strong machine inspection skills, attention to detail, troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently are essential.

Schedule:
- Day Shift (Monday - Thursday, 10 hour days)
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Setup 3 and 5 axis CNC mill machines including tooling and fixtures.
- Work closely with programming to optimize programs for future production runs.
- Deburr and clean parts as needed.
- Provide documentation feedback to Planning and/or Engineering to ensure work instructions, blueprints, and job routings are correct for future production runs.
- Machine maintenance.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work area.
- Train coworkers.
- Follow all safety and quality requirements.
- Other duties assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years’ experience within a job shop or contract manufacturing environment.
- CAM experience is a plus.
- Ability to read drawings, specifications, and other relevant documents.
- Knowledge and ability to use basic measuring tools (0-6 caliper, 0-1micrometer, dial indicator, bore mics, etc.) and ability to maintain visual quality of parts. Machinists are encouraged to own their own tools or be willing to purchase them over time.
- Ability to work in Metric or Imperial dimensions with the knowledge to convert them as needed.
- Knowledge and ability to work with close tolerances (one ten thousandths).
- Experience with Brother, Haas and Matsuura controllers is a plus. Ability to learn new controllers.
- Strong understanding of G & M code.
- Ability to frequently lift 25 lbs. and occasionally lift 60 lbs.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- This position involves access to export controlled information. Employees must be eligible to work in roles subject to U.S. export control regulations.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
A temperature-controlled production shop floor environment requiring sitting/standing for extended periods of time; occasional lifting of up to 25-60 lbs.; occasionally crouching or bending at the knees. Exposure to dirt and dust. Personal protective equipment (safety glasses, ear protection, safety shoes, shields etc.) may be required. May operate moving equipment (forklift) as required to perform essential job functions. General shop environment with exposure to moderate levels of noise in a well-lit, well-ventilated, and fast paced setting.
Workload may be unpredictable, and pressure increased during peak times. Critical deadlines require considerable flexibility and adaptability. Disturbances of workflow and/or irregularities in work schedule may occur on an intermittent basis. Extra hours may be required, sometimes on weekends, weekdays, and holidays.
