Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide knowledgeable assistance to enhance their shopping experience
- Assist customers with product selection, answering questions about features, benefits, and pricing
- Process cash transactions accurately using cash registers and cash management systems, including handling cash drawers and performing cash balancing at shift end
- Perform retail math calculations for sales totals, discounts, returns, and refunds with precision
- Manage data entry tasks related to sales records, customer information, and financial transactions using retail software
- Support retail lending activities by explaining loan options and processing loan applications when applicable
- Maintain store cleanliness, organize merchandise displays, and ensure products are properly stocked and labeled
Requirements
- Prior retail sales or customer service experience preferred; experience in banking or financial services is a plus
- Strong cash handling skills with proficiency in cash drawer management and processing cash transactions
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, percentages, and retail math calculations
- Familiarity with retail software systems and data entry procedures
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, energetic attitude toward customers
- Ability to stand for extended periods, walk throughout the store, and lift moderate loads as needed
- Attention to detail for accurate loan processing, cash handling, and record keeping
- Experience with retail store operations such as cashiering, cash management, and inventory organization is desirable
