Paid Program Facilitator / Dungeon Master Opportunity
The Knowledge Exchange is looking for creative, reliable Dungeon Masters and tabletop RPG facilitators to lead community-based Dungeons & Dragons experiences for youth and adults.
We are currently recruiting facilitators for:
- Adult short-form campaigns — 4-week campaigns hosted at brewery partner Highmark Brewery in August for 4 weeks at their Fredericksburg and/or King George locations
- One-shot adventures — 1–6 hour single-day events
- Youth and adult long-form campaigns — 13-week seasonal campaigns
- Weeknight and weekend opportunities
This is a great fit for someone who loves storytelling, roleplay, collaborative problem-solving, and helping players feel welcome at the table.
What You’ll Do
Facilitators will:
- Lead D&D/tabletop RPG sessions for youth, adults, or mixed community groups
- Create a welcoming, beginner-friendly table environment
- Support new and experienced players
- Help players engage in storytelling, teamwork, and creative problem-solving
- Communicate clearly with TKE about scheduling, attendance, and session needs
- Represent TKE professionally at breweries, community spaces, and partner venues
We’re Looking For Someone Who Is
- Experienced with Dungeons & Dragons or tabletop role-playing games
- Comfortable facilitating a group
- Reliable and responsive with communication
- Inclusive, patient, and welcoming to new players
- Able to manage table dynamics and keep sessions moving
- Interested in youth development, community-building, storytelling, or enrichment programming
Experience working with youth, neurodivergent participants, teaching, mentoring, theater, or group facilitation is a plus.
This is a paid independent contractor opportunity.
Compensation: Starting at 30% of program revenue. For a 13-week campaign with 3–6 enrolled participants, estimated facilitator compensation is $351–$702 per campaign, averaging approximately $27–$54 per weekly session or $117–$234 per month. Final compensation depends on enrollment.
