Duties
- Develop detailed construction estimates for asphalt paving projects by analyzing project plans, specifications, and site conditions.
- Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare comprehensive bid proposals that accurately reflect project scope and costs.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to review project requirements and refine pricing strategies.
- Conduct negotiations with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to secure favorable pricing and contractual terms.
- Perform cost control analysis throughout the project lifecycle to ensure budgets are maintained and profitability is maximized.
- Review construction contracts to verify scope, terms, and compliance with project specifications.
- Assist in project management activities by providing accurate estimates that support scheduling, resource allocation, and overall project planning.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating within the asphalt paving or heavy civil construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction site operations, materials, and techniques specific to asphalt paving projects.
- Proficiency with estimating tools such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, and other relevant software platforms.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
- Familiarity with construction management practices, contracts, and project management principles.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and site plans effectively.
