Job Summary
Set up and operate all types of woodworking machines, power tools and hand tools. Determine the best method of shaping and assembling parts working from blueprints, supervisors’ instructions, and/or shop drawings.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Measure and mark materials to verify dimensions.
- Communicate any discrepancies and inconsistencies of material or work order to the Production Manager (DM) / General Manager (North) or the Project Manager.
- Establish the specifications of materials to be constructed or repaired and plan methods and operations for shaping and assembling, based on blueprints and work order instructions.
- Identify and report any defective materials or questionable conditions to the Production Manager (DM) or General Manager (North).
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly and safely.
- Follow all prescribed safety regulations.
- Experienced Cabinet Makers may be asked to train and share their knowledge with the Cabinet Maker Apprentices.

- Mechanical ability for both large and small equipment
- Good manual dexterity
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Strong mathematical skills
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous woodworking experience required
Physical Requirements
- Regularly require the ability to sit, stand, bend, reach and lift a minimum of 70 pounds.
