Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans that incorporate manual therapy, trigger point therapy, and other physiotherapy modalities.
- Conduct clinical assessments and document patient progress accurately in accordance with clinical documentation standards and medical terminology.
- Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions, ensuring proper use and maintenance.
- Support patient care by guiding clients through exercises, educating them on injury prevention, and addressing their questions with clear caregiver and client communication.
- Maintain comprehensive electronic health records (EHR) management and ensure all medical documentation complies with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals such as physicians, occupational therapists, and nurses to coordinate discharge planning and optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in specialized care areas including orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, acute care, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health environments.
Qualifications
- Valid licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant in accordance with state or regulations.
- Proven experience in physical therapy treatment implementation within inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing facility, or home health settings.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and clinical assessment documentation standards.
- Familiarity with medical equipment operation and electronic health records (EHR) management systems.
- Excellent communication skills for effective caregiver and client interactions; ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Prior experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, or acute care is highly desirable.

Pay: $24.25 - $40.00 per hour
