About the PositionCoons & Crump LLC is a fast-paced consumer bankruptcy firm seeking a motivated and detail-oriented paralegal to join our team. You will play a central role in managing a high volume of Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases from intake through discharge. If you thrive in a structured, deadline-driven environment and have a passion for helping clients navigate financial hardship, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and file bankruptcy petitions and schedules
- Gather and organize client financial documents
- Draft Chapter 13 plan amendments and modifications
- Communicate with trustees, creditors, and courts
- Monitor case deadlines and incoming court notices
- Prepare 341 meeting of creditors documents
- E-file documents via CM/ECF
- Assist attorneys with hearings, motions, and objections
Qualifications
- 1+ year of bankruptcy experience preferred
- Experience with the CM/ECF filing system
- Proficiency in bankruptcy software (Best Case or similar)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple active files simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
