Job description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Ford Certified Master Automotive Technician to join our growing service department. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering high-quality repairs, exceptional customer service, and maintaining Ford's standards for vehicle diagnostics and repair.
Key Responsibilities
· Performs work as outlined on repair orders according to dealership and factory standards
· Diagnoses cause(s) of malfunction(s) and performs repair(s)
· Inspects assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended
· Communicates with Service Advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlines is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time
· Communicates with Parts Department to obtain needed parts
· Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer
· Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order
· Road tests vehicles when required or refers to a test Technician
· Ensures that customers’ cars are kept clean. Notifies Service Advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle
· Ensures that vehicles are parked in assigned areas. Make sure they are locked, and all keys are marked and put away correctly
· Keeps abreast of manufacturer Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs), Field Service Actions, (FSAs) OASIS Broadcast messages, PTS What’s New Messages, etc.
· Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events
· Supervises work of any apprentice Technicians as assigned
· Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as they were received
· Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor
· Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-know, etc.
· Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner
· Reports any safety issues immediately to management
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3+ years of automotive repair experience (Ford dealership experience preferred).
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to diagnose electrical, engine, transmission, suspension, steering, and brake systems.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a fast-paced environment.
Required Certifications
Applicants should possess one or more of the following:
- Ford STARS Certification (required)
- Ford Master Technician Certification (required)
- Current Ford Factory Training credentials (Required)
- A Level (Master) Technician Certification
- Hybrid and Electric Vehicle (EV) certification.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
