The Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking a part-time Communications Assistant. This is an amazing opportunity for an outgoing, self-motivated and highly organized professional to work with a growing and very active Chamber.
This position reports to the President/CEO of the Chamber.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote chamber events, programs, and members.
- Create marketing materials, ensuring alignment with chamber branding and mission.
- Manage and execute social media strategies across Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube.
- Assist in the design and publication of the chamber’s weekly electronic newsletter.
- Assist with the design and printing of materials for events and programs as needed.
- Manage sponsor deliverables to ensure fulfillment of benefits.
- Communicate with special event planning committees and attend planning meetings when needed.
- Assist with capturing content at events.
- Occasionally assist with check-in and attendee engagement at networking events.
- Capture and analyze engagement metrics for events and marketing initiatives.
- Highlight members and foster community engagement.
- Be willing to engage in creative brainstorming when it comes to content creation and implementing.
- Consistently help communications stay within brand guidelines.
- Write press releases and marketing copy as needed.
- Serve as photographer/videographer for the Chamber capturing photos/video at chamber programs, special events, meetings, and community events as needed.
- Support fellow staff members for all Chamber events, retail promotions, fund raisers, seminars, membership campaigns, expos, retreats, social events and special meetings as directed by the President & CEO.
- Provide support for special events and programs, which may occasionally require evening and/or weekend hours.
- Other duties assigned by the Chamber President & CEO.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Maintain ChamberMaster CRM daily for invoicing, tracking membership renewal date and marketing member businesses.
- Input new members and prospects into database
- Assist with member recruitment
- Actively reach out to delinquent members
- Prepare new member packets for distribution
- Manage volunteers
- Public Relations tracking (newspaper clippings, etc.)
- Compile membership statistical reports
