Job Description
- Monitor patient blood pressure and intracardiac pressures during procedures.
- Record and analyze hemodynamic data and maintain accurate procedure documentation.
- Operate and calibrate Cath Lab equipment including ACT, cardiac output, A-Vox, and power injectors.
- Set up, operate, and monitor intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP).
- Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures and provide catheters, wires, balloons, stents, and other equipment.
- Prepare and maintain sterile instruments and procedure rooms.
- Respond to emergencies, including defibrillation, external pacing, suctioning, and resuscitation.
- Maintain equipment, supplies, and report malfunctions or shortages.
- Assist with patient transportation and room setup.
Required Certifications & Licenses
- New York State License as an X-ray Technologist, certification to inject per the requirements of section 89.40 of part 89.
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Certification or American Registry Radiologic Technologist (ARRT Registered).
- BLS and ACLS Certification (American Heart Association).
- Graduate from an accredited school of Radiology. Cardiovascular credentialing (CCI) (ARRT) or (RCIS) "
- Experience or 'Must have' skills Two (2) years’ experience as an Cardiac Cath Tech or X-ray Technologist with minimally one (1) year experience working in an Interventional Radiology or Cardiac Catheterization Suite.
Pay: $70.00 - $80.00 per hour
