THE ROLE
A W2 hourly cleaner handling guest turnovers across our Birmingham properties. You start part time at 20 to 25 hours per week and move to full time within 90 days based on your performance and our volume. For the right person, full time comes fast. You report to our Operations Manager and use a mobile app for your assignments, status updates, and photos. Training provided.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Turn over short term rental units between guests to our cleanliness standards
- Inspect units before check in and log every result in our app
- Photograph anything wrong and flag it to the Operations Manager
- Respond to your Operations Manager within 5 minutes during scheduled shifts
- Move between multiple buildings across Birmingham
- Follow the checklist on every clean and every inspection, exactly
REQUIREMENTS
- Reliable transportation. You drive between Birmingham buildings throughout your shift
- Cleaning experience in short term rental, hotel housekeeping, or professional cleaning
- Available every weekend, no exceptions
- A smartphone with a data plan
- Comfortable logging work in a mobile app. General app experience is fine
- Sharp attention to detail and willingness to follow checklists to the letter
- Able to lift 25 pounds, stand for long stretches, bend, and reach
- Comfortable handling standard cleaning chemicals
Reliability is the number one thing we hire for. We schedule around guest check ins, and those do not move. If you show up and you do it right every time, you will go far here. If you cannot commit to that, this is not your role.
PREFERRED
- Prior Airbnb, Vrbo, or hotel housekeeping experience
- Experience with property management or cleaning software such as Hostaway, Turno, or Slack. We also run our own internal Mason Homes systems and will train you on those.
- Track record working independently with little supervision
- Familiarity with Birmingham neighborhoods and buildings
