Shipping Clerk Summary/Objective: The shipping clerk is responsible for helping the overall flow of the warehouse by working with drivers and to be a liaison between the office and the warehouse.

- Signing in and out drivers with all necessary paperwork
- Assign driver to appropriate doors
- Develop good working relationships with drivers, dispatchers, brokers and customers
- Communicates with assigned CSRs, Leads, GM and others daily
- Logs information efficiently and accurately into WMS system
- Able to learn and navigate through our WMS system/software
- Prepares, compiles and sorts documents for data entry
- Checks all documents for accuracy
- Obtains further information for incomplete documents
- Double check warehouse paperwork for accuracy
- Help prioritize work orders for GM
Qualification Requirements:
- Bilingual
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in warehousing / logistics preferred
- Good communication, organizational, time management and mathematical skills
- Great attention to detail
- Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)
- Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
Physical Demands and Abilities:
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Regularly spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers
- Regularly move from sitting to standing positions effortlessly
- Regularly see details of objects that are less than a few feet away
- Frequently bend to file and maintain files
- Occasionally lift 5-10 pounds
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:45am. to 5:00pm. This schedule may be subject to change. Employee will occasionally be required to work extra hours or days, depending on workloads.
