Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take their food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Prepare food items according to company standards, ensuring quality, safety, and sanitation protocols are followed at all times.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to assemble menu items quickly and correctly.
- Manage customer transactions at the cash register, including processing cash, credit card payments, and handling refunds or exchanges.
- Upsell menu items by recommending popular or promotional products to enhance sales and improve customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including sanitizing counters, utensils, and equipment regularly to meet food safety standards.
- Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring food safety practices throughout your shift.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring guests feel valued during their visit.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, quick service restaurants, or café environments with a strong understanding of food handling and safety procedures.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing transactions efficiently.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks swiftly during busy hours while maintaining quality standards.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively while adhering to sanitation guidelines.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, giving correct change, and managing sales transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices including sanitation, hygiene, and proper food storage techniques.
- Retail sales experience with upselling techniques that boost revenue while enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment.
