Responsibilities
- Provide expert hair styling services including cuts, color treatments, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and hair threading with attention to detail and customer satisfaction
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all areas of the salon to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
- Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client management, and retail sales tracking
- Offer professional consultations to recommend suitable treatments, products, and upselling opportunities to enhance client experiences and salon revenue
- Manage front desk duties including greeting clients, scheduling appointments, processing payments, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere
- Stay current with industry trends in color theory, makeup application, nail care, and barbering techniques to provide innovative services
- Mentor junior team members when needed and foster a positive team environment through effective communication skills
Experience
- Proven cosmetology or barbering license with experience in hair styling and customer service excellence
- Skilled in advanced techniques such as hair extensions, straight razor shaves, eyelash extensions, and makeup application
- Familiarity with salon management tools like MINDBODY or similar salon software for booking and retail operations
- Knowledge of sanitation protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Strong retail sales experience including upselling products like hair care items and retail math proficiency for inventory management
- Excellent communication skills for client consultations and team collaboration
- Experience mentoring or training other stylists is a plus but not required
