Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Body Shop Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing vehicle damage, preparing accurate estimates for repairs, and ensuring that all work meets the highest standards of quality and safety. This role requires strong automotive knowledge and excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and technicians.
Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Auto Estimator to:
- Prepare accurate estimates using CCC One or similar systems
- Work with insurance adjusters and customers
- Communicate repair needs with technicians and front office
- Ensure repairs stay within quoted time and budget
- Evaluate damaged vehicles and determine the necessary repairs.
- Prepare detailed estimates for repair costs, including parts and labor.
- Communicate with customers to explain repair processes and answer any questions.
- Collaborate with technicians to ensure accurate assessments and timely repairs.
- Maintain records of estimates, repairs, and customer interactions.
- Stay updated on industry trends, repair techniques, and automotive technology.
- Ensure compliance with safety
Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience as estimator in auto repair or collision
- Familiarity with estimating software (e.g., CCC ONE, Mitchell, Audatex)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of vehicle parts and repair processes
- Evaluate damaged vehicles and determine the necessary repairs.
- Prepare detailed estimates for repair costs, including parts and labor.
- Communicate with customers to explain repair processes and answer any questions.
- Collaborate with technicians to ensure accurate assessments and timely repairs.
- Maintain records of estimates, repairs, and customer interactions.
- Stay updated on industry trends, repair techniques, and automotive technology.
