First Step Learning Centers is seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Teacher to join our team in Texas. Position Details
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $10.00 - $16.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum to promote learning and development.
Maintain a safe, structured, and engaging classroom environment.
Support children’s language, motor, and social-emotional growth through interactive activities.
Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing progress updates.
Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and center policies.
Mentor and support assistant teachers and staff as needed.
6+ months experience in a licensed childcare center.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to pass a background check and health screenings.
CDA or degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
1+ years experience as a Lead Teacher or in a similar role in a licensed childcare center.
Strong understanding of classroom management and child development best practices.
CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
