Position Summary
This is a W-2 employee position providing outpatient behavioral health services through in-person sessions at our Springfield office, telehealth services, or a combination of both.
Clinicians provide individual, couples, family, and group therapy while conducting clinical assessments, developing treatment plans, maintaining timely clinical documentation, coordinating care with other providers, and providing case management services when clinically appropriate.
Compensation is based on billable client hours.

Job Types: Full-Time or Part-Time
Pay: $30.00–$60.00 per billable client hour, based on licensure, experience, insurance credentialing, and clinical responsibilities.
Caseload Expectations
Part-Time
- Minimum of 14 billable client hours per week
Full-Time
- Minimum of 22 billable client hours per week
- Eligible for Paid Time Off (PTO)

Full-Time Employees
Minimum QualificationsEducation
Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or another qualifying behavioral health field from an accredited institution.
Licensure
Applicants must possess one of the following Missouri licenses:
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Provisionally Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (PLMFT)
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
Clinical supervision may be offered by Willow Branch Counseling for PLPC clinicians.
PLMFT applicants must already have an approved clinical supervision arrangement established in accordance with Missouri licensing requirements.
LMSW applicants pursuing LCSW licensure must independently secure and maintain their own approved clinical supervision arrangement.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience providing therapy to one or more of the following populations:
- Children
- Adolescents
- Adults
- Couples
- Families
Experience utilizing evidence-based treatment approaches is preferred, including:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Trauma-Informed Therapy
- Family Systems Therapy
- Play Therapy
- EMDR
- Solution-Focused Therapy
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Other evidence-based interventions
Experience using an Electronic Health Record (EHR) is preferred but not required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Successful applicants should demonstrate:
- Knowledge of human development and the biological, psychological, and social factors influencing behavior.
- Knowledge of counseling theories, family systems theory, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions.
- Ability to administer standardized behavioral health screening and assessment instruments within scope of practice.
- Strong clinical judgment and ethical decision-making skills.
- Excellent organizational, documentation, and time-management abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and professional ethical standards.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary professionals.
- Ability to work respectfully with individuals and families from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, and Electronic Health Record systems.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and intake evaluations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients.
- Provide individual, couples, family, and group therapy.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Coordinate care with physicians, schools, case managers, attorneys, and other treatment providers when appropriate.
- Provide case management services when clinically indicated.
- Participate in clinical consultation and team meetings.
- Maintain professional licensure and continuing education requirements.
- Adhere to all ethical, legal, payer, and agency standards.
Provisionally Licensed Clinicians
