Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Floater/Assistant to join our dynamic childcare team! Responsibilities
- Support classroom activities by assisting teachers with lesson implementation, setup, and cleanup
- Provide attentive care to children, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Engage children in age-appropriate play, educational activities, and social interactions to promote development and learning
- Help manage classroom routines such as diapering, feeding, nap times, and transitions between activities
- Maintain a clean and organized environment by sanitizing toys, surfaces, and shared spaces regularly
- Observe children’s behavior and communicate any concerns or developmental milestones to lead staff
- Assist with administrative tasks such as attendance tracking and preparing materials for daily activities
Skills
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Ability to provide first aid and respond effectively in emergency situations
- Strong understanding of behavior management techniques and caregiving best practices
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and engage with children’s families
- Familiarity with classroom management strategies for different age groups including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers
