Kensington Electronics is seeking a Trade Compliance, Contracts, and Cybersecurity Manager to support our electronics distribution business serving high-reliability and regulated markets.
This is not a traditional IT-only cybersecurity role. This position is responsible for reviewing customer purchase order terms and conditions, identifying clauses Kensington cannot or will not accept, supporting CMMC and CUI compliance requirements, maintaining ITAR-related compliance awareness, conducting restricted party screening, and completing customer and vendor compliance surveys.
The right candidate will have direct experience with CMMC, CUI, ITAR, denied party screening, and contract or flow-down review in a regulated business environment. Experience in distribution, aerospace/defense supply chain, or a similar customer-driven compliance environment is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Review incoming customer purchase orders, terms and conditions, and flow-down requirements before order acceptance
- Identify and escalate clauses related to CMMC, CUI, cybersecurity, indemnification, insurance, penalties, data rights, and other obligations Kensington cannot or will not accept
- Support compliance efforts related to CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)
- Support ITAR-related compliance and export-controlled data handling requirements where applicable
- Conduct restricted party and denied party screening on customers, buyers, vendors, and other counterparties
- Complete customer surveys, new vendor surveys, compliance questionnaires, and onboarding documentation
- Coordinate across sales, purchasing, operations, finance, quality, and leadership to manage compliance and contractual risk
- Maintain organized compliance documentation and support practical internal cybersecurity controls
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in trade compliance, contracts review, customer compliance, cybersecurity compliance, export controls, or related risk management
- Direct experience with CMMC and CUI compliance requirements
- Direct experience with ITAR regulations
- Experience reviewing customer terms and conditions, flow-down clauses, or contract requirements
- Experience performing denied party or restricted party screening
- Strong documentation, organizational, and follow-through skills
- Strong judgment and ability to escalate risk appropriately
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in electronics distribution, aerospace/defense supply chain, or another regulated distributor environment
- Experience in a small to mid-sized business with a broad, hands-on role
- Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-171
- Experience with customer surveys, vendor onboarding forms, and compliance questionnaires

This role is best suited for someone who understands practical business compliance in a distributor environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, confident reviewing contractual requirements, comfortable escalating risk, and experienced in CMMC, CUI, ITAR, and restricted party screening.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
