Do you turn customer requirements into precise, buildable designs?

Do you enjoy collaborating across Sales, PM, Fabrication, Service, and Operations to move projects from concept to startup?

Develop detailed mechanical and system designs for industrial equipment and processes, including drawings, layouts, specifications, and BOMs using SolidWorks or similar CAD tools.

Ensure your designs meet company standards, codes, and safety expectations—and are practical to build, install, and service.

Support proposals: prepare conceptual layouts, budgetary designs, scope definitions, and technical clarifications; participate in customer meetings, site visits, and technical reviews.

Work hand-in-hand with Project Management and Scheduling to transition designs into fabrication, installation, commissioning, and startup.

Coordinate with manufacturing/production to validate feasibility and readiness for execution.

Provide technical assistance during installation, startup, and troubleshooting in the field.

Maintain clear documentation and revision control; evaluate design changes for schedule, cost, and technical impact and communicate updates to stakeholders.

Perform and assist with troubleshooting and root-cause analysis; identify standardization and continuous improvement opportunities and share lessons learned.

Promote safe work practices and ensure alignment to regulatory, standards-based, and internal quality requirements.

Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar—or equivalent education/experience.

3–7+ years in industrial/mechanical/systems/equipment design preferred.

Exposure to engineered-to-order products, industrial equipment, manufacturing operations, or capital projects preferred.

Travel readiness of roughly 20–40%.

CAD mastery with SolidWorks or equivalent.

Strong understanding of mechanical systems, equipment design, and plant/industrial operations.

Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and field installation practices.

Familiarity with safety and regulatory frameworks.

Ability to explain complex technical ideas to diverse audiences.

Experience juggling multiple projects and priorities.

Sharp analytical thinking; interpret drawings/specs and make sound trade-off decisions across cost, schedule, and performance.

Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel proficiency.

ERP, project management, or document control tools experience is a plus.

Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
-
Able to work safely at manufacturing, construction, and industrial sites; travel to customer and project locations as required.
