Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Director of Nursing (Addiction Treatment) to lead our nursing team within a comprehensive addiction recovery facility. This leadership role is essential in ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess extensive nursing management experience, particularly within addiction treatment settings, and demonstrate a strong commitment to improving patient outcomes through innovative care strategies and effective team supervision.

Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and administrative oversight for all nursing services within the addiction treatment facility.
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff to promote professional growth and maintain high standards of patient care.
- Develop, implement, and review individualized care plans tailored to residents’ specific needs, including those with co-occurring mental health conditions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to addiction treatment, long-term care, and healthcare standards such as HIPAA.
- Oversee documentation review processes including medical records, care plans, MDS (Minimum Data Set), and other clinical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care effectively across various settings such as home health, hospice care, memory care, and acute care when necessary.
- Manage shift schedules and staffing levels to ensure continuous quality care delivery while maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Lead efforts in quality assurance programs focusing on patient safety, regulatory audits, and accreditation standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of long-term care regulations and Medicare requirements pertinent to addiction treatment facilities.
- Utilize medical terminology expertise and physiology knowledge to support clinical decision-making and staff training.
Experience
- Proven nursing leadership experience within addiction treatment or long-term care facilities.
- Extensive assisted living experience combined with nursing home experience preferred.
- Demonstrated success managing multidisciplinary teams in environments such as home health agencies or hospice settings.
- Strong background in managing care facility teams with supervising experience in clinical settings.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation review, medical records management, and regulatory compliance tracking.
- In-depth understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, memory care protocols, and long-term care regulations.
- Experience overseeing nurse management functions including shift management, documentation review, and patient care oversight.
- Knowledge of Medicare policies applicable to addiction treatment services.
- Excellent leadership skills with a focus on administrative clinical supervision and fostering a collaborative team environment.

Pay: $115,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
