Position Summary
The Catering Captain is responsible for overseeing event service operations, leading event staff, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. The Captain serves as the primary point of contact during events and ensures all food and beverage service standards are executed professionally.
Responsibilities
- Supervise servers, bartenders, and support staff during events.
- Coordinate event setup, service execution, and breakdown.
- Conduct pre-event staff briefings and assign duties.
- Ensure adherence to event timelines and client expectations.
- Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally.
- Monitor food and beverage presentation and service quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe event environment.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, event managers, and clients.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of catering, banquet, or hospitality leadership experience.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs or more and work long shifts.
Transportation Requirement
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be punctual and able to travel independently to event locations throughout Palm Beach County.
Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
Experience:
- Hospitality management: 2 years (Required)
