Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Dump Truck Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating dump truck vehicles to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, debris, or hazardous goods across various job sites. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to safety regulations, and efficient route management will ensure timely deliveries and smooth operations. Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks and related vehicles with precision, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Load and unload materials safely using manual handling techniques.
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules while avoiding delays.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in accordance with legal requirements.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before operating the vehicle.
- Follow safety protocols for hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods or hazardous materials.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate cargo handling, route planning, and delivery schedules for freight or construction materials.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, especially with dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or tractor-trailers.
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations governing commercial driving and hazardous materials transportation.
- Ability to operate GPS navigation systems effectively for route planning and delivery accuracy.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; familiarity with route driving in various terrains and urban settings.
Requirements
- Must have at least 2 years with Class A or Class B license.
- Clean MVR
- Must be able to speak and read English
