Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, social skills, and emotional well-being.
- Manage classroom or activity spaces effectively, ensuring safety and positive behavior management at all times.
- Provide guidance and support to children during daily routines, including meal times, rest periods, and transitions.
- Utilize first aid skills to respond promptly to minor injuries or emergencies, ensuring the safety of all participants.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create inclusive programs tailored for children with special education needs or behavioral challenges.
- Foster a respectful and encouraging environment that promotes teamwork, creativity, and self-esteem.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress notes, and incident reports as required for program compliance.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or after-school programs is highly preferred.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Certifications in first aid and CPR are preferred; additional certifications in special education or behavior management are a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to engage children, parents, and team members positively.
- Ability to adapt activities for children with varying needs and learning styles.
