Anta Electric, Inc, a growing contract manufacturing company located in Clifton Park, and Cedar Knolls, NJ, is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineering Technician.
Job Overview
The Mechanical Engineering Technician supports the Engineering Department by maintaining documents, interpreting
work instructions, and completing daily tasks as assigned by the engineering team.
- Support engineers with daily tasks and ongoing projects as directed by the Engineering team.
- Utilize software tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook to complete assigned duties.
- Knowledge of SolidWorks or other 3D modeling software
- Prepare, format, and print technical documentation and drawings for use on the production floor.
- Interpret and analyze wiring diagrams, schematics, datasheets, and written work instructions.
- Compare and evaluate engineering revisions, identifying and documenting changes with precision and clarity.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documents, work instructions, and production aids.
- Communicate effectively with engineering staff, production team, and other departments.
- Maintain organized digital and physical records in accordance with company standards.
- Demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills in support of engineering activities.
- Exhibit a willingness to learn new tools, follow established procedures, and take direction from multiple team

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- AS degree in Engineering or equivalent technical field (preferred) or 3 years of technician experience
- Knowledge of Solidworks or other 3D modeling software
- Experience providing technical support in a manufacturing environment, including wiring harness and general
- electrical/mechanical assembly technologies
- Organizational competencies to keep project team on track
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office applications
- Ability to work on several concurrent tasks in an efficient and accurate manner
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to read and write in English
- Ability to be part of team and communicate effectively with all levels within the organization
Other Requirements:
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
Pay: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour
