Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a diverse selection of beverages including cocktails, wines, craft beers, spirits, and non-alcoholic options with precision and flair.
- Engage with guests warmly, take orders accurately, and recommend drinks based on preferences or menu specials.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards at all times.
- Process cash transactions efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, handling cash and credit payments securely.
- Manage bar inventory by monitoring stock levels, restocking supplies, and assisting with beverage recipe development to keep offerings fresh and innovative.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff during food service operations and support banquet or catering events as needed.
- Uphold responsible alcohol service policies by checking IDs and recognizing signs of intoxication to ensure guest safety.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of mixology techniques, cocktail recipes, wine varieties, spirits, brewing processes, and craft beer trends.
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing transactions accurately.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a lively yet professional atmosphere.
- Previous experience in fine dining establishments or hospitality industry settings preferred.
- Ability to develop new beverage recipes and adapt offerings based on guest preferences.
- Familiarity with food safety standards, food industry regulations, and cash handling procedures.
- Experience in bar management or supervising staff is a plus but not required.
