Preschool DirectorJob Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Preschool Director to lead the daily operations of a nonprofit early learning center. The ideal candidate will provide strong leadership, support teachers and staff, maintain compliance with state regulations, and create a positive, nurturing environment for children and families.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily preschool operations, including staffing, enrollment, and administration.
- Ensure compliance with Florida DCF licensing requirements and safety regulations.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate teachers and support staff.
- Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and maintain high educational standards.
- Build strong relationships with families and community partners.
- Manage budgets and resources responsibly.
- Support fundraising, grant opportunities, and organizational growth initiatives.
- Foster a positive, mission-driven culture focused on excellence in early childhood education.
Qualifications
- Florida Director Credential required or ability to obtain.
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in early childhood education.
- Strong knowledge of Florida childcare licensing regulations.
- Experience supervising staff and managing preschool operations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Education Administration, Child Development, or a related field preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience opening or managing a childcare center.
- Knowledge of VPK and School Readiness programs.
- Nonprofit experience is a plus.
