Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Bilingual Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately
- Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiratory rate to support clinical assessments
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout visits
- Support medical procedures by preparing exam rooms, sterilizing equipment, and assisting during minor procedures or X-ray imaging
- Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently to document patient information, ICD coding, medication administration, and treatment plans
- Perform basic life support (BLS) when necessary and respond promptly to emergency situations within the clinic or hospital environment
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and coordinating referrals for specialty care including dermatology or geriatrics
Experience
- Prior experience working in outpatient clinics, hospital settings, or specialty practices such as dermatology or urgent care is highly preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and ICD coding to accurately document patient encounters
- Experience supporting inpatient units like the PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), Geriatrics wards, or Level I/II Trauma Centers is advantageous
- Familiarity with EHR systems used in hospital medicine or outpatient clinics to ensure precise record-keeping
- Hands-on experience with medication administration and basic diagnostic procedures including X-ray imaging is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced environments such as emergency medicine or Level I Trauma Centers while maintaining high-quality patient care
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications related to hospital medicine or surgical assistance are beneficial
