Responsibilities
- Perform tree trimming, pruning, planting, and removal with precision and safety.
- Maintain lawns and landscapes through mowing, edging, fertilizing, and weed control.
- Assist with hardscape projects such as patio installation, retaining walls, and walkways.
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and irrigation systems.
- Supervise or assist crew members on construction projects ensuring quality standards are met.
- Manage irrigation systems—installation, repair, and seasonal adjustments—to promote healthy landscapes.
- Lead or support team management efforts by supervising crew members during daily tasks and ensuring efficient workflow.
- Identify various plants and trees to ensure proper care and maintenance practices are followed.
- Operate company vehicles safely to transport tools, equipment, and team members to job sites.
- Uphold safety protocols while working outdoors in varying weather conditions; ensure all work complies with industry standards.
Skills
- Proven experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or horticulture with a strong outdoor work background.
- Supervising or crew management experience demonstrating leadership qualities.
- Knowledge of plant identification and landscape design principles.
- Skilled in irrigation management—installation, troubleshooting, and seasonal adjustments.
- Ability to operate grounds maintenance equipment safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with hardscape installation including patios and retaining walls.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to lead or collaborate effectively within a crew environment.
- Experience managing construction projects from start to finish.
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to operate company vehicles responsibly.
- Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
