About the Role
Fremontii, LLC., an Alaska-owned commercial construction owner's representation and project management firm, is looking for an independent Commercial Construction Project Coordinator to support project coordination and document control across its active commercial construction and facilities projects in Alaska. This is a 1099 independent contractor engagement, not an offer of employment, with work assigned through project-specific statements of work.

The firm supports commercial construction, renovation, repair, and maintenance work throughout Alaska, acting as a trusted advocate for owners from pre-construction through closeout.
What You'll Do
Work is assigned through project-specific statements of work and may include:
- Estimating packages and bid takeoffs
- Submittal logs and RFI logs
- Schedule updates against baseline milestones
- Document control deliverables and organized project files
- Agendas and minutes for owner, architect, and contractor meetings, with action item tracking
- Tracking of pay applications, invoices, and change orders against approved project budgets
- Correspondence and notices to owners, architects, contractors, and subcontractors
- Contract review summaries flagging key dates and obligations
- Weekly or monthly project status reports
- Punch list and closeout documentation tracking
What We're Looking For
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in commercial construction administration, project coordination, or owner's representation
- Demonstrated ability to run project meetings, manage RFI and submittal logs, and track schedules, budgets, and closeout documentation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel; experience with Procore or similar project management software is a plus
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple concurrent deliverables
- Familiarity with Alaska construction practices, remote logistics, and seasonal scheduling considerations
Engagement Details
- This is an independent contractor (1099) engagement, not an offer of employment; the contractor determines methods, work sequence, and daily hours of performance.
- Compensation is fixed-fee, milestone-, or deliverable-based and set per statement of work; where hourly billing applies, invoices are tied to specific deliverables.
- The engagement is non-exclusive; you're free to work with other clients, subject to reasonable confidentiality and conflict-of-interest provisions.
- Contractors provide their own computer, software, and business tools, and carry their own business liability insurance where applicable. For Alaska construction work, evidence of workers' compensation coverage (or a valid exemption) is required where applicable.
Location
Remote position; Alaska-based candidates preferred, with remote or hybrid arrangements considered. Any on-site work is arranged separately under the applicable statement of work.
