Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Lead Toddler Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this dynamic role, you will lead classroom activities, foster a nurturing environment, and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum tailored specifically for toddlers. Duties
- Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that promote literacy, math, physical activity, and social skills aligned with early childhood education standards.
- Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for toddlers.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, address concerns, and foster strong home-school partnerships.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to ensure consistent quality of care and instruction.
- Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR certifications.
- Support individualized learning plans for children requiring special education or early intervention services to promote optimal development.
Skills
- Extensive experience working with young children in a childcare or preschool setting, with a focus on toddler care.
- Strong knowledge of child development principles, childhood milestones, and age-specific teaching strategies.
- Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with early intervention programs, special education needs, and literacy education methods.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Ability to adhere to state licensing requirements, mandated reporting laws, and health protocols such as first aid and CPR.
- Experience incorporating Montessori or other specialized educational philosophies into daily activities is preferred.
