We need individuals capable of utilizing a balance of nurturing and loving approach, healthy professional boundaries, and structure, to provide a safe, therapeutic setting for boys and girls deeply impacted by trauma.
The caregivers here play a key role in our holistic philosophy of care by using a team-oriented, trauma informed approach in the care of our children. Our challenge as a team is to minister to the "whole" child. A calm and controlled demeanor is absolutely essential for this ministerial role. As a caregiver, you will teach and care for a small group of boys or girls, age 7 to 17, to foster their character development, spiritual growth, emotional growth, social skills, coping skills, and help them learn valuable life skills.
We are a working ranch, and our children and staff work with horses daily and have a lot of outdoor activities. Experience with horses, gardening, camping, and/or coaching is highly favored. Previous experience in the military, corrections, education, mental health, and/or special needs care is very helpful as well.
We're looking for staff who feel God's call to serve with children. This is a distinctively ministerial role. We are a Christian, faith-based organization who care for children who have been deeply affected by trauma through abuse, neglect, abandonment, or rejection.
