Finance Analyst
Quality Transportation Services, Inc. (QTS) a dynamic rail logistics service-oriented company, is seeking a qualified and highly motivated candidate to join our Finance & Admin team as our Financial Analyst. Our mission at QTS is to help our clients achieve their goals through proactive management of their rail responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for invoicing management, reporting, analytics and account profitability analysis. The ability to manage timelines and resources is key to this role.
Duties:
- Analyze the costs and profitability of the services we provide, identifying key cost drivers and trends.
- Build and maintain financial spreadsheets and cost models for services, projects, and other business activities.
- Provide cost and financial analysis to support sales and development teams with project pricing and quoting.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting, including tracking actual results against budgets and prior forecasts.
- Prepare financial reports and analysis, investigate financial variances and trends, and communicate findings to management and relevant departments.
- Handle day-to-day accounts receivable and accounts payable activities including entering customer payments and vendor bills, bank reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records in QuickBooks.
- Prepare and manage recurring customer invoices and support the monthly billing process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Accounting or related field
- Experience with financial analysis preferred
- Strong understanding of business processes around contracting – from opportunity through execution and administration
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to interact with the organization, vendors, and business leadership throughout the firm to make recommendations, resolve issues, and drive results

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
