Job Overview
Alliance Couriers LLC is seeking dependable, responsible, and self-motivated Delivery Drivers to complete local package delivery routes. Drivers will primarily deliver packages originating from Walmart, with routes averaging approximately 100 packages/stops per day.
The workday begins at approximately 11:30 AM. Drivers will receive assistance organizing and loading the delivery van before departing for their assigned route. Once on the road, drivers will use the Nash Driver app to navigate the route, track deliveries, and complete assigned stops.
This position is a good fit for someone who enjoys working independently, stays organized, pays close attention to details, and can be trusted to complete an assigned route responsibly. As drivers become familiar with their regular delivery areas, they are expected to develop greater knowledge of the routes and improve their efficiency.
Pay: $100 flat rate per scheduled workday.
Drivers may provide their availability and select the days they are available to work, subject to available routes and scheduling needs.
Responsibilities
- Report to the designated pickup location on time for the 11:30 AM daily start.
- Assist as needed with final organization of packages while receiving help loading and preparing the van.
- Safely operate a company delivery van throughout the assigned route.
- Complete approximately 100 package deliveries/stops per route, depending on daily volume.
- Use the Nash Driver app to follow the assigned route, navigate to delivery locations, and properly record completed deliveries.
- Pay close attention to package numbers, addresses, delivery instructions, and other route information.
- Deliver packages to the correct locations safely and accurately.
- Keep packages organized throughout the route to minimize time spent searching for deliveries.
- Follow safe driving practices and all applicable traffic laws.
- Communicate promptly with management if there is a delivery issue, vehicle problem, route delay, or other situation requiring assistance.
- Maintain responsibility for the company vehicle and packages while completing the route.
- Become familiar with frequently assigned delivery areas and use that familiarity to improve route efficiency.
- Complete the entire assigned route unless otherwise instructed by management.
- Maintain a professional and respectful attitude when interacting with customers and the public.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
- DOT number/CDL is not required for this position.
- Must be willing to complete a motor vehicle record (MVR) check and background screening as part of the hiring process.
- Must be dependable and able to report to scheduled shifts on time.
- Must be comfortable driving a cargo/delivery van.
- Previous delivery or courier experience is preferred but not required.
- Must be comfortable using a smartphone and GPS/navigation applications.
- Must be able to learn and properly use the Nash Driver app.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when matching packages with addresses and delivery instructions.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently for most of the workday without constant supervision.
- Must be responsible, trustworthy, and self-motivated.
- Ability to safely handle packages and repeatedly enter and exit the delivery vehicle throughout the route.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the designated starting location.
- Must communicate promptly if problems or delays occur during a route.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal Alliance Couriers driver is someone who shows up when scheduled, takes responsibility for the route, stays organized, and does not need to be constantly supervised. We are looking for drivers who take pride in completing their routes accurately and efficiently and who become more effective as they learn their regular delivery areas.
