Job Summary
WorkSource is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Cycle Count/Inventory Control Plant Coordinator to oversee inventory accuracy and optimize stock management processes within our client's manufacturing distribution facility. This role is vital in maintaining precise inventory levels, supporting supply chain efficiency, and ensuring seamless warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular daily cycle counts across warehouse inside and outside to verify inventory accuracy and reconcile discrepancies promptly.
- Ability to review location sheets, cross‑checking material handler counts against the computer system and entering exceptions into the cycle count log.
- Must be able to conduct cycle counts by comparing WIP and finished goods inventory reports to material in yard storage areas and maintaining a cycle count log for both internal and external auditors
- Maintain comprehensive records of inventory transactions, adjustments, and cycle count results using warehouse management systems.
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams to coordinate stock movements, shipping & receiving, and order fulfillment activities.
- Support process improvement initiatives by analyzing current procedures, recommending enhancements, and implementing best practices in inventory control.
- Ability to drive small pickup truck in yard for counts outside.
- Perform periodic audits of warehouse distribution processes to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Experience
- Minimum of two years’ experience in inventory experience, warehouse distribution, or supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment.
- Must have strong mathematical skills.
- Clean MVR Record
- Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Excel spreadsheets.
