Molding Supervisor - Responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the molding department and core departments in a gray and ductile iron foundry including ensuring that production of company products meet quality, cost, productivity and safety goals; additional responsibilities include training and supervision of staff; safety and OSHA compliance, housekeeping and material flow.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead a team of foundry molders and core makers, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
2. Monitor production processes to identify any issues or inefficiencies and implement solutions promptly.
3. Train new employees on foundry procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
4. Maintain inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
5. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure a safe working environment.
6. Collaborate with the management team to develop strategies for improving productivity and reducing downtime.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a foundry setting as a Mold Technician, Mold Lead, or Mold Supervisor.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Knowledge of foundry equipment and processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
