Registered Nurse - Surgical Unit
Medical-Surgical Cardiac Stroke is 24 -bed Unit where we care for patients at a med-surg level of care with telemetry monitoring. The patient population reflects a variety of diagnoses to include cardiac care such as heart failure, stable myocardial infarction, chest pain, and patients requiring cardiac diagnostic testing. This unit is the dedicated stroke downgrade unit which includes collaboration with IMC, ICU, and our stroke navigator. All nurses will maintain a current NIHSS certification and stroke.
Job Summary
Provides safe, high-quality patient care using the nursing process. Applies professional standards in ethics, collaboration, leadership, and evidence-based practice. Uses clinical knowledge and skills to meet the needs of their specific unit.
Education
- Degree or Diploma from an accredited Registered Nursing Program
Certification/Licensure
- Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
- BLS within 90 days of hire
