Sewing Parts Online is a 17-year-old e-commerce company specializing in sewing machines, fabric, parts, and accessories for customers across the world. We are currently seeking a Fabric Cutting Associate to join our team. In this position, you’ll pick fabric bolts, accurately measure and cut customer yardage, and prepare orders neatly for shipping or for in store customers. You’ll assist retail customers by answering questions, helping them find products, and cutting fabric to order at the counter.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of independent, detail-oriented work and friendly customer interaction.
Job Responsibilities:
- Pick fabric bolts and cut accurate yardage for online and in-person customer orders
- Neatly fold, bag, and prepare fabric for shipping or customer pickup
- Use iPads and computers to scan barcodes and update warehouse systems
- Place cut fabric into pick bins for order fulfillment
- Assist retail customers with questions and guide them to products in the store
- Cut fabric at the retail counter for walk-in customers
- Help with picking and shipping fabric orders as needed
- Ingest new fabric cuts into the warehouse system
Qualifications:
- Must be detail-oriented and accurate when measuring and cutting fabric
- Strong communication skills and customer service mindset
- Comfortable using iPads and computers for scanning and data entry
- Able to work independently while also supporting a team environment
- Able to stand for an entire shift and lift 25+ lbs
- Must thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and accuracy
