Duties

- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dishes and seasonal specials based on ingredient availability and customer preferences
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation standards
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and portioning to minimize waste
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food efficiently while maintaining high standards
- Serve dishes promptly and courteously to guests or dining staff, ensuring a positive dining experience
Skills
- Proven experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly valued for understanding special dietary needs
- Extensive culinary experience with strong knife skills, food preparation, and meal assembly expertise
- Solid background in food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation practices within restaurant or food industry settings
- Ability to plan menus creatively while managing time effectively during busy service hours
- Knowledge of food service operations, including catering and serving techniques
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and ensure smooth kitchen operations
