3rd Shift FUEL FARM AGENT- John Glenn International Airport
Work Schedule: Sunday - Thursday, Midnight - 8:00am.
Lane Aviation currently have an opening for a 3rd Shift FUEL FARM AGENT at John Glenn International Airport in Columbus, Ohio. This role involves handling aviation fuels (Jet-A, Avgas), operating fueling equipment, conducting quality control inspections, and maintaining accurate fueling records to support safe aircraft operations. The role demands strict compliance with international aviation standards to ensure aircraft safety and prevent fuel contamination.
Responsibilities
- Dispense and handle aviation fuel for commercial, private, and charter aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations and industry standards.
- Monitor fueling operations to ensure safe fuel transfer and prevent spills, contamination, or equipment damage.
- Perform fuel quality control checks, including sampling and testing procedures.
- Complete fueling documentation, fuel tickets, inventory records, and operational reports accurately.
- Follow all environmental, health, and safety requirements related to fuel storage, handling, and spill prevention.
- Respond appropriately to fuel spills, emergencies, and safety incidents according to established procedures.
- Maintain fueling equipment in clean, safe, and operational condition and report maintenance needs promptly.
- Coordinate with ground operations staff to ensure timely service.
- Assist with fuel inventory management and storage facility inspections.
- Maintain compliance with FAA standards, airport regulations, OSHA requirements, and company policies
.Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Previous aviation fueling, ground handling, or related experience preferred.
- Knowledge of aviation fuel handling procedures and safety practices preferred.
- NATA Safety 1st and knowledge of ATA103 quality control certifications are highly preferred.
- Must successfully clear a federal 10-year fingerprint-based criminal history check (CHRC) and pre-employment drug screening to obtain a KCMH Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge with airfield driving privileges.
- Stable work history
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (<4 points)
- Must be able to pass pre-employment, random and post accident drug tests.
- Follow Company Drug Testing Policies
- United States citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
