About the Role
Miners Landing is seeking a friendly, outgoing Visitor Information Ambassador to serve as the first point of contact for visitors arriving at our pier. This role works outdoors, stationed at the entrance or high-traffic areas, helping guests navigate our restaurants, shops, and attractions while creating a welcoming first impression of Miners Landing.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests and tourists as they arrive at the pier
- Provide accurate, friendly information about Miners Landing's restaurants, shops, and attractions (hours, locations, menus, pricing, etc.)
- Offer wayfinding directions to specific venues both within Miners Landing and nearby points of interest
- Answer frequently asked questions about parking, ferries, restrooms, and general waterfront navigation
- Hand out maps, brochures, or promotional materials as needed
- Recommend attractions or dining options based on guest interests (families, food preferences, time constraints, etc.)
- Monitor foot traffic flow and help manage crowds during peak times or events
- Report any guest concerns, safety issues, or maintenance needs to management
- Maintain a clean, organized information station/kiosk
- Stay current on daily specials, events, seasonal hours, and temporary closures across all Miners Landing tenants
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, approachable, high-energy demeanor
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Strong working knowledge of the local area (or willingness to learn quickly)
- Bilingual abilities a plus
- Previous customer service, hospitality, or tourism experience preferred
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work weekends/holidays as needed
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand/walk for up to 8 hours
- Comfortable working outdoors in sun, wind, or rain
- Ability to lift/carry 30 lbs

Pay: From $21.30 per hour
